Job Responsibilities
Create Photo-Real Cars, Understand Pipeline Development, Maintain Communication
• Ability to create photo-real cars exhibiting a strong foundation in photo-realistic digital art skills
• Strong understanding of pipeline development and implementation. Will be looked to for creation of work flows and to help facilitate processes for different types of outputs varying from effects based work to more hard body surface live action integration, and into motion graphics heavy outputs
• Maintains clear communication with Compositing Supervisor, VFX Supervisor, Art Director and teams to ensure timeliness in meeting milestones and quality assurance every step of the way
• Set supervision/on set experience in a commercial setting a huge plus
Requirements
Knowledge of Maya, Strong Portfolio and Verbal/Written Skills
• Full working knowledge of Maya (Mental Ray, VRay), with stronger emphasis on VRay
• Strong knowledge of the principles of 3D (animation, FX, modeling, texturing, lighting, shading, rendering, rigging, matchmoving)
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Nuke, Vue, Painter 3D, ZBrush is a plus
• Scripting in Python and Mel beneficial but not essential
• 5+ years of commercial/film experience with a strong portfolio, CG automotive production experience is a major advantage
• Good knowledge of shading and lighting techniques in 3D
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Proven pro-active team player
• Self motivated with ability to prioritize and attention to detail
• Take direction from others
• Ability to react and respond quickly to the needs of management and clients
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent preferred but not necessary
