Job Description:-Create animated characters and objects based on client or supervisor direction-Artist must possess ability to animate both primary and secondary characters by utilizing traditional methods and computer graphics systems to create desired performance of digital characters within a shot. -Emphasis should be placed on conveying emotion through a combination of body language and facial expressions/ dialog as required by each specific project. -Accountable for meeting schedules and show deadlines, participates in dailies, rounds and team reviews of work in progress. -Interacts with production, supervisors and team/ peers in order to problem solve and share information related to show/ assigned tasks. -Candidates should be able to work efficiently as part of a team or independently to determine the various design solutions. -Able to animate multiple types of shots from simple to difficult.Required Skills and Experience:- Knowledge of applicable software packages including Maya required- Previous experience creating naturalistic creature and/or character animation as well as inanimate object animation- Must demonstrate the ability to analyze organic motion and have a good understanding of realistic weight and timing-Minimum requirement of 4+ years production experience or feature film experience preferred. -Background or experience in fine art which shows a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance and form highly desired. -Knowledge of human and animal anatomy as well as life drawing skills are desirable.- This is an LA based positionTo apply, please send reel and resume.
