My name is Ernesto Paganoni and I am a freelance animator 2d-3d
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I pretended to study architecture.
What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I am very proud to be able to go to learn 3D in 1992, already 10 years of traditional animation on the shoulders
and I am proud also to have founded, again in 1992, the first Italian computer animation company called “Locomotion”.
How did you become interested in animation?
I have always drawn and after high school I discovered that it could even become a profession.
Where are you from and how did you get into the animation business?
I’m Italian and I learned traditional animation by Giovanni Ferrari, the animator had animated for “The Valer Triste – Sibelius†of Bruno Bozzetto.  Thank’s Giovanni!
What’s a typical day like for you with regards to your job?
No, thankfully each day is different, I hate the routine.
What part of your job do you like best? Why?
love to animate 3D characters, I would do it for free if it not support my family!
What part of your job do you like least? Why?
I do not like phone calls to solicit payments, my job is another.
What kind of technology do you work with on a daily basis?
Except in very rare occasions my work is 3D animation, almost always on Softimage XSI.
What is the most difficult part for you about being in the business?
A crisis has mainly hit the advertising market, the only way to survive is to differentiate customers. Â Now I’m doing different videos and I love working on music.
In your travels, have you had any brushes with animation greatness?
Meeting the beauty of animation every time I have occasion to participate in a festival, in animation of the authors are truly exceptional. Â I love Frederick Back,, Paul Driessen, Nik Park, and
Describe a tough situation you had in life.
The last 20 years and the political situation in Italy.
Any side projects or you’re working on or hobbies you’d like to share details of?
I have been working on a project about 10 years of TV series … the best thing is to work, sooner or later we’ll see if I’ll talk to someone.  My favorite hobby … I collect antique prints geographical, especially hemispheres but the thing I love most, though not a hobby … I love walking on the beach, I love the sea, swimming, shooting, drawing … the sea.
