News: Wacom announces the Cintiq 13HD: a 13-inch pen display with Pro Pen in tow for $999

wacom-13-in

Wacom has added to it’s arsenal of tablets in the form or a 13″ one. It’s similar to the monster 22″ one in that it does not rotate which for me is important. the size while small isn’t really that bad when you think that we used to draw on 8 1/2 x 11 or 8 1/2 by 14 size paper and this is within that range. At $1000 bucks though I wonder if buying a full tablet (which is essentially the same size) would be a better buy. Granted you can only do that if you’re willing to take on Windows 8 instead of OSX but when you’re drawing the OS really doesn’t matter.
