What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Weihao Wei. I am currently working as a free lancing concept artist. My clients are Syndicate Alpha Software, Soft Reset Studio and Snaketakes studio.
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I worked at Subway sandwich shop for a year; this is by far the craziest one I guess?

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
The project at Soft reset studio, I am in charge of all the art direction of the unannounced adventure game, there are a lot of talented people in the team and I am very proud to be a part of it and see the game develops from scratch to a near-prototype stage.

How did you become interested in animation?

What is your name and your current occupation?
Rich Dickerson – Music Composer
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I played in a cover band for 12 years in the New York, tri-state area. I was the lead singer, sang three fifty minute sets a night, five to six nights a week. We had a huge sound system, light show, roadies, truck, manager, agent etc… Nothing in my life was crazier than those days. Someday I will write a book about it.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
What’s New Scooby Doo? is at the top because in addition to scoring the show which include multiple genres in each episode and writing the theme song I got to work with some great people at Warner Bros who I can call my friends to this day. I won an Emmy for writing the theme for ESPN’s animated, “Off Mikes” show – that was a total surprise. Was nominated for Cynopsis Kids Imagination Award for the “Yoohoo & Friends” Theme song. Shows like: “Yoohoo & Friends”, “Big Foot Little Foot”, “Action Dad”, “Lalaoopsies”, “Lala Girls”, “Where’s My Water?” “Julius Jr.” and “Dibo The Gift Giving Dragon” where all musically a lot of fun. Oh, and Icebox’s “Zombie College” because it was the first animation theme song I wrote and I got to sing it too!

9/11 : Never Forget

Today is the 13th anniversary of September 11 and our thoughts are once again with all those who lost loved ones on that tragic morning. We remember the names, faces, and lives of the men, women, and children who were killed, and look for ways to ensure that each and every one of them is not forgotten. As we commemorate here at the Memorial, we invite you to join us in remembering September 11 and all that this day means.

 What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Sarah Jargstorf and I’m a 3d artist and animator. Currently I’m working as a 3D modelor at Arc Productions in Toronto.What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I really don’t think any of my part-time gigs during high school and college can compare to animation. They were just your typical retail, amusement park and factory work. Though I’ll never forget the day I was working at the Toronto Islands and I witnessed a seagull swallow a WHOLE footlong hotdog, in one gulp. Shocking. Little bugger was determined.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I’ve had the pleasure of animating on My Little Pony. I’ve been fortunate to work on a lot of fun tv shows but My Little Pony was a real treat.

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Serap Pamir. My current occupation is 3d character animator in an animation production company.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I had not had any crazier jobs before this one. But I made and sold necklaces and I worked as a English-Turkish translator few year ego and worked as software developer that I used love a lot. But In my mind I used to wish deeply to work in an animation company one day about 3d animation but did not decide exactly as a software developer or as a 3d animator. But now I love very much working as an 3d character animator in an animation company.:-)!!!

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
One of my software I developed and wrote totally my self. There was a little girl and a boy ice skating when the user pushed the 23 different figure buttons on the screen. The girl and the boy fluently do the necessary figures after completing the current one. But it was 2 dimensional pictured. I did all the pictures by myself too. But I do not think this is a project that to deserve to be proud of…But this is also for pc not for internet so I have no link of it. Two ice skating 3d animations I have done recently.

What is your name and your current occupation?
Dan Lund and I am currently an EFX animator at the Walt Disney studios as well as, cant believe this is coming out of my mouth….an APP developer. I am releasing an animated knock knock app on Aug 1st (knock knock and the Who’s There Doors) so that seems to be my occupation these days but don’t tell Disney that, they think its just a hobby.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation? 
I was always into jobs, ever since I was 14 I worked and loved the power I felt in doing a good job for someone. The worst was being a car jockey but i have done it all (burger king, Root beer stand, old folks home, fry cook, video store…)
What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of? 
Almost every Disney film I have worked on had a moment either artistically or work experience wise that made me proud. The BIG ones, of course, were great (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King) but when i look at Princess and the Frog i feel my my artistic level kicked up a notch. Even after some 13 screen credits, when you think you had tried it all, learned it all and maybe even lost the thrill a bit…a film opens up a brand new box of crayons, for me that film was “Frog”.  I am also very very proud of my personal work especially the 3  “Hildy Hildy” shorts (strike TV and all over the youtubes)  that i directed/animated and then sold to TBS as an animated series. Collaborating with Hildy’s creator, Patricia Scanlon was a moment i would not trade for anything.
