What part will you play? 

Production Manager

What will you be doing? 

Work closely with Line Producer to create day to day tracking schedule for production needs.

Oversee schedule and manage artistic crew.

Responsible for long-term and day-to-day running of the show’s schedule and all related paperwork.

Responsible for disseminating schedule information to production personnel and tracking specific production tasks and relaying information to Line Producer.

Track overseas production progress and compliance with scheduled delivery dates.

Communicate closely with production and overseas studio.

What do we require from you? 

Minimum 2 years’ experience in animation production, animation technique, and management.

Tech savvy a must! Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Filemaker Pro is necessary.

Organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task a must.

Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, a great attitude and overall enthusiasm.

High school diploma required.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7+ years VFX post-production experience, this must be recent and continuous.
  • • Solid knowledge of Maya, Mari, and Nuke
  • Solid previous experience as CG/2D Supervisor and most recently VFX Supervisor experience on 2 or 3 major projects.
  • Creative eye and aesthetic judgment with a deep understanding of composition, cinematic design and animation timing.
  • Must have an understanding of Directing/Lighting/Camera work/Practical Effects/Camera Gripping/Art Department/Production Design and Props.
  • Excellent understanding of composition, light and color with strong attention to detail.

Overview and Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

  • Nickelodeon Animation Studio is beginning production on a 2D REBOOT of the classic franchise Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We are looking for Character Designers who can create original concepts, take direction well from the creative lead, and execute clean-up as well as turnarounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive & understand Character Design assignment from Art Director/Design Supervisor.
  • Ask appropriate questions to understand & complete the task.
  • Review Storyboard to ensure continuity of character designs.

Assistant or Associate Professor of 3D and Digital Animation

The Visual Arts Department in the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) seeks a qualified individual to fill a full-time ranked faculty position as an Assistant / Associate Professor in Digital Animation who will also serve as area head. This position is a 40/40/20 split between research, teaching and service. While serving as area head, the teaching portion will be reduced to a 2/2 teaching load. The start date for this position is August, 2017.

Qualified candidates will be expected to teach courses in 3D modeling, animation, texturing and lighting, and rigging with an emphasis in Maya. The ideal candidate will have expertise using software commonly used in the industry (Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Unity, Unreal, ZBrush, Substance Designer).

To achieve tenure, the candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active national and/or international record of exhibition and professional accomplishments. To facilitate creative research activities the successful candidate will have an option to obtain an additional course release during their first year.

In addition to research, teaching and service the hired candidate will be the area head for the Digital Animation Center (DAC). As area head a successful candidate will provide vision and leadership for the animation emphasis, supervise budgets in coordination with CAM staff, review technology investments and develop class schedules and faculty teaching assignments, advise students, review curriculum and provide oversight to maintain a high quality of instruction for students.

  • College-level teaching experience teaching 3D animation and/or modeling. Specifically, course in 3D modeling, animation, texturing and lighting, and rigging with an emphasis in Maya.
