ROCKET CARTOONS IS LAUNCHING THREE NEW SHOWS AT MIPJR

San José, Costa Rica – October 02, 2013
Costa Rican independent prodco. Rocket Cartoons is launching three new shows this weekend at MIPJr. thru its distribution partners Monster Entertainment from Ireland and Awol Animation from Paris.
These shows come in different formats and are focused to the preschool and young kids’ audience. “Yum Yum and You” (78 x 5´) and its Christmas Special “A Christmas with Yum Yum and You” (1 x 26´) were softly introduced to the market by Awol Animation during MIPTV earlier this year, and now they are followed by a third production called “Outopus” (52 x 2´), introduced to the market by Monster Entertainment.
Rocket Cartoons´ President and CEO, Leo Trinidad said: “We are thrilled to increase our offer of shows for kids and we are very happy to have concluded all these productions. Outopus is a really funny series of interstitials about five funny octopus constantly planning all type of crazy escapes out of their fish tank, and Yum Yum and You on the other hand is a charming show about a positive little Cyclops who shows how to deal with everyday life obstacles using teamwork and a smile.”

ABC Commercial Confirmed as Home Entertainment Partner on Animated Web Series “The Eggsperts” from Flying Bark Productions and Blake eLearning

Flying Bark Productions and Blake eLearning today confirmed ABC Commercial as the home entertainment partner on the recently announced animated web series “The Eggsperts”.

ABC Commercial will release the 11 x 7 minute series produced by RE Productions Pty Limited and developed with the assistance of Screen NSW on DVD.

Based on the highly successful e-learning website, ABC Reading Eggs, the series will be a stimulating and educational production for four to seven year olds, available for download via Android and Apple mobile devices as well as to all ABC Reading Eggs subscribers.

SLR PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES CREATIVE TEAM FOR ‘CAPTAIN FLINN AND THE PIRATE DINOSAURS’

 

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, SEPTEMBER 30, 2013…

Australia’s SLR Productions today announced the creative team on the animated series ‘Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs’ which was recently green-lit for production with local broadcast partner Nine Network along with international partners, ZDF Enterprises, Telegael and Top Draw Animation.

With Suzanne Ryan of SLR Productions as Executive Producer, the series will combine the creative expertise of Greg Ingram as Director, Jo Boag as Studio Creative Director, Yasmin Jones as Line Producer, Melanie Alexander as Script Producer and David Evans, David Witt, Cleon Prineas, John Armstrong, Tom Mason, Dan Danko, Rachel Spratt and Bruce Griffiths as the series’ script writers.

The 52 x 11 minute series is based on award winning picture books of the same name by internationally recognised and highly acclaimed Author/Illustrator duo, Giles Andreae and Russell Ayto and the television series will be developed by Jo Boag, Melanie Alexander, Steve Moltzen and Rachel Spratt.

“We have the very best of creative talents on board for ‘Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs’.  Each of the team will bring their many years of experience and knowledge in animation to make the series irresistible to audiences locally and internationally” said Executive Producer and CEO of SLR Productions, Suzanne Ryan.

In 2011 ‘Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs’ won Best TV Pilot and the prestigious Arlecchino Award for Best Book Based Work, an esteemed accolade of the Cartoons On The Bay Pulcinella Awards, International Television and Cross Media Animation Festival held in Italy.  The series also was selected as a nominee in the 2011 Banff International Pilots competition in the youth and children category and was shown at the 2011 Banff World Media Festival in Canada.

Pirattitude meets silly in these riotous tales of a jam-stealin’ Captain T Rex, Stig the stegosaurus, Dippy the diplodocus, Tricky the triceratops and Terry the pterodactyl and four adventure lovin’ kids Captain Flinn, Pearl, Tom and Violet who teach them a thing or two!
Irreverence, general silliness and flagrant disrespect for pirate dinosaurs wrapped around a message of simple empowerment: sometimes when you face your fear…you’ll notice it’s wearin’ a milk moustache (underneath that eye-patch…arrr).
