What is your name and your current occupation?
Mucci Fassett, that is to say, I am Mucci Fassett, and I’m currently Directing ZHU ZHU PETS, a low-budgeCGI ANIMATED dvd movie for Moonscoop Productions.
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Well, when i was 16 years old, I was a busboy at The Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown San Diego. I had a secret-affair with the head waitress. The boss found out, he had the hots for her too, so he fired me.
What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
As far as the one thing that I’mproud of?  I suppose I am proud of a little DVD movie I made for MGA calledDesert Jewel. It was a ”Bratz” movie, and yes everyone vomits when they hear the word Bratz! that’s because they immediately think of those bawdy little dolls in their hoochie-coochie hot-pink skirts, and I really can’t blame them, I feel the same way too, but the films I did for the Bratz Brand aren’t of that content at all, and this little ”Bratz Desert Jewel” film is mighty for what it is: we had 9 months to make it (and that’s from script-premise all the way to the final Mix) so we really had to haul ass, as that’s a tight little hustle for a 3-act 72 minute film. But we did, we pulled it off, me and my superb crew of Joe Scott, Vill Cruz, Javier Secaduras, Clay Christman and my editor at the time Michael Bradley who made some real great contributions. Bruno Chekerdimian Barreto

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Bruno Chekerdimian Barreto, I’m working at Mariana Caltabiano Criações .

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
During the high school I used to help my father on his work carrying furniture and other little services. He is a woodworker.  I don’t know why he asked me to help him if I was, and still I am, so thin and weak.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I’m very proud to have worked on the first season of “As aventuras de Gui e Estopa” (in english “The adventures of Gui and Estopa”). I had a great opportunity to do a lot of things on it. I wrote some episodes, did some storyboards, helped to develop the digital clean up, worked composing the scenes and other many things. On the second season I added to my “to do list” the digital paintings for that scenes where shows something very detailed or should use a different visual language. But my big challenge happened during the production of our first animated feature. I did all the 3D stereoscopic composition of all animated scenes and I did all the digital paintings of “Brasil Animado”, the first Brazillian movie in 3D (stereoscopic).

A very talented friend of mine, Greg Dubuque, who’s been in the business for many years and is a truly gifted artist is in need of help fighting MS and his daughter’s illness as well. Friends of his have set up a fund on YouCaring.com.

As some of you are already aware, early in 2014, after years of fighting and ignoring a range of symptoms he attributed to fatigue and age, Greg was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, a form of MS with no remission stage and a steady worsening of neurological functions. This would have been a hard blow for anyone, but as an artist and a single father of two wonderful kids, it was all the more devastating. His doctors are working him toward a possible treatment plan, but it will be a long and expensive road.

If this wasn’t enough of a challenge, Greg’s young daughter was recently diagnosed with Ventricular Tachycardia this past September after a frightening trip to the ER. She has since undergone a cardiac ablation procedure, followed by surgery for an implanted defibrillator.

MS is the type of illness that is an artist’s worst nightmare, but even though Greg’s ability to provide for his kids has been crippled by this physically impairing disease, he has the strength, faith, and the belief in himself to fight and overcome it. Meanwhile, the current financial, emotional, and physical strain has taken its toll as medical bills have grown rapidly, so this fundraiser page was created with the hopes of easing some of the immediate financial burden from both his daughter’s medical expenses, as well as the cost of Greg’s future treatment options so he can continue to be the best dad for his kids.

Any amount, no matter how small, that you would like to contribute will go directly to Greg and his kids to help with medical bills, groceries, and basic living expenses.

AninetworkFest! An ONLINE Festival Of Short Animated Films 

AninetworkFest is an international competition and online platform that serves to support the animated short films and their creators.

It should also be a place where community of creative people that producing these films meet. On the other hand, then the place for people who enjoy watching of these films and that are fans of this kind of art.

The festival will take place from 20th April to 10th May 2015 on the web www.aninetworkfest.com

The top 20 short animated films will compete in this competition. You can watch and evaluate them during the festival. After the end of the festival the films will be placed freely to watch in our database.

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Pete Michels and I am the Supervising Director on the upcoming hit show “Rick and Morty” for Adult Swim. I work at Starburns Industries in Burbank.

 

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I never really had any crazy jobs. I once parked cars and did phone surveys. Both of those jobs lasted less than a weekend.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
The Simpsons and Family Guy are probably the top projects. It’s an honor to be part of animation history.

 

How did you become interested in animation?
I think I’ve always been drawing cartoons, since I got the “Charlie Brown Dictionary” for Christmas one year. I was always watching “The Flintstones” and “Scooby-Doo”. But I think it was Ralph Bakshi’s version of “Lord of the Rings” that made me want to do that for a living.
