What is your name and your current occupation? 
Brett Snelgrove and I’m an Independent writer/producer.

 

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation? 
I worked in a coffee shop in my youth where I had to wear a promotional character outfit to distribute flyers around the shopping centre. The character had this huge nose and the local kids weren’t shy about telling me I looked like a giant nob. Back in high school when I thought I wanted to be an actor, I was part of a drug awareness performance troupe and one of our outings involved crashing a big Oktoberfest event. Needless to say we were thrown out.
What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of? 
I’ve recently completed an animated sci-fi web comedy called New Eden with Dutch animator, Freek van Haagen. That’s been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work but worth it. It was a bit of a trial by fire as it is my first foray into animation.  Previous to that I worked in television production and on my own independent projects. I’m very proud of my award winning action-comedy short Domestic and very grateful that I got to work on the satirical news programme NEWStopia with legendary Australian comedian Shaun Micallef.

 

How did you become interested in animation?

Zootopia- Deleted Scene- The Taming Party

CBS8 is reporting about a cut scene from Disney’s Zootopia.
From the site:

Released in March, Disney’s Zootopia proved to be one of the most touching and most timely animated films in years, pulling at the heartstrings and tackling the intense topic of systemic racism, all while still managing to stay hilarious and adorable.

While the final cut of the movie had its fair share of heartbreaking moments (How could Nick’s childhood scout mates be so cruel?!), this newly-released deleted scene proves that Zooptopia could have been super depressing.

Seriously, before you watch this, it’s full-blown bawl-your-eyes-out time. You’ve been warned.

What is your name and your current occupation? 
My name is Rachel Young and I am currently working as an animator.
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
My first job was a short stint as a summer camp/day care assistant and then as a clerk at a mall store, and then as a graphic designer for a while, which is not really something I would have chosen for myself.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I usually enjoy most projects I work on, but in particular, “The Ricky Gervais Show” “The Problem Solverz” and some smaller projects such as animation for the “Phineas and Ferb” stage show.  Mostly I’m pretty proud of the fact that I’ve gotten five 52 page comic books published in three years while doing all this at the same time.

Together with Nexus Animation Studio, Google Spotlight Stories proudly presented a sneak preview of RAIN OR SHINE, directed by Felix Massie, at the Annecy International Animation Festival. The studio’s most interactive short yet — as with other Spotlight Stories, the viewer can look around, and in doing so, can find subplots and surprises, in addition to hold for the viewer to return to main view before returning.

Google Spotlight Stories is a new form of storytelling made specifically for mobile and VR. In these 360-degree, interactive stories, your phone becomes a window to a world all around you.
