What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Caue Zunchini, I’m a Freelance Animation Artist (Background Design and Painter, Character Design, Storyboard, 2D Digital Animation, Clean Up and Illustrator). And an art collector lover (action figures, books, dvds, posters and etc).

 

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Just one. When I was young I used to work in a gift company testing pens like an assembling line, checking the ink and testing on a paper. I used to test more than 1000 pens per day, It was really exaustive and boring hahahahah.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
All these shows are from Brazil, so probably many people from other countries don’t know Fudencio e Seus Amigos season 6 – MTV Brazil (2009  Popota – pilot (2010) Gui e Estopa season 3 (2011-2012)

 

Where are you from and how did you get into the animation business?

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Ana Maria Mendez Salgado and I’m a Visual Storyteller (Illustrator, Concept Artist, 2D Animator).

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
There are so many!  I worked as a sales person in a brick-a-brack shop (where I actually sold my first handmade cards and portraits), as a kitchen hand in a vegetarian restaurant (where my boss told me that “making a salad shouldn’t take as long as making one of my illustrations”!), and as a waitress during the night for a weddings venue (where I learned to value my sleeping hours!).  I also worked as a multicultural officer with children from non-English speaking backgrounds (which I loved), as a designer of props for storytelling time at a library (which was fun), and as a theatre attendant for music and performing arts events (which was always inspiring).
What are some of your favourite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
Woods of Charol (2006), Passages (2012) Miniambra (2013), Andrés Barrientos & Carlos Andrés Reyes’ En Agosto (2008) and Carlos Manrique’s Journeys (2008).

What is your name and your current occupation?
Screenwriter Author Producer Actor Michael Chase Walker, I’m just finishing 2 children’s books with my collaborator UK artist illustrator Jason James and currently producing, writing, and/ or developing three feature films for a major animation studio.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I studied Eastern philosophy and Sanskrit literature’s for 6 years in India and abroad. I also lived, studied and traveled with Dr. Timothy Leary for 3 years.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Tad Butler and I am a freelance storyboard artist and illustrator.

 

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I guess the craziest job would be operating a cigarette tax stamping machine for a wholesale food and tobacco product distributor. I have also worked as a route salesman for a health and beauty aids distributor, an assistant web press operator, a bus driver and a retail sales associate to name a few.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I am very proud to have been a part of making the film, Alone Yet Not Alone. It is a period film set during the French and Indian and tells the remarkable true story of one young girl’s faith, courage and determination to reunite her family that has been torn apart by the war.

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Welton Santos  I am 2D Animator , character designer, background artist and Illustrator.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I worked as a bricklayer, waiter, office boy… They were all tough jobs that nearly drove me mad. But in the end, I think I learned something from each one of them.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
That’s hard — but I really enjoyed working on the pilot episodes of ‘Popota’ and ‘Cheese Gang’ TV series. I think everybody did a terrific job and I’m really proud to be part of the animation team.

Katya Bowser

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Katya Bowser and I am currently a Freelance Artist focusing on Storyboards, Illustrations and Character Designs.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I haven’t had anything too crazy, but working retail at Hollister was interesting. There were some crazy managers who would do things like chase shoplifters out of the store with a broomstick. You encounter a lot of interesting people when working in retail.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
Being a freelancer has given me the opportunity to work on a lot of different projects. I’m working with some friends on a short film called “Asylum”. Its been a fun process and I’ve learned a lot through it. I also had a great time while working temporarily at DisneyToons. I don’t know if my sequence will make it through to production, but it was extremely fun to work on! And my other favorite would be my first animatic I created and designed with Epipheo for Crowd Equity. It turned out really neat and I enjoyed working on it a lot.
