What is your name and current occupation?
My name is Tyree Dillihay and I’m an assistant director on season 2 of Bob’s Burgers. I have two series coming out that I worked on as a Director premiering on Fox and MTV the same week.  Good Vibes premieres on MTV, Thursday October 27th after the return of BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD and Allen Gregory, which was created by Jonah Hill premieres on FOX October 30th at 8:30.  I directed two episodes on each of these shows.
What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Fortunately, I’ve only had 2 9-5s before getting into animation and they weren’t bad at all. My first one was doing customer service for a skin care company. My second job, which was my reason for leaving the skin care company, was helping my mother start and run what became our family business of setting up facilities that service developmentally disabled people.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
My favorites so far have been the projects where I was given creative autonomy. And ironically, those were not only fulfilling for me, but were huge successes for those that hired me. Projects like “Read A Book” and “Disrespectoids” were very fun projects to work on. “Disrespectoids” is probably my favorite because myself and a writer, Dan Clark, scripted out the cartoons the OLD way…VISUALLY. We literally sat in a room and had jam sessions with 10 characters to play with and just played “What if…?” for about 2 weeks on a dry erase board before animation started.
How did you become interested in animation?

Caue Zunchini

What is your name and your current occupation?
My name is Caue Zunchini, I’m a Freelance Animation Artist (Background Design and Painter, Character Design, Storyboard, 2D Digital Animation, Clean Up and Illustrator). And an art collector lover (action figures, books, dvds, posters and etc).

 

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
Just one. When I was young I used to work in a gift company testing pens like an assembling line, checking the ink and testing on a paper. I used to test more than 1000 pens per day, It was really exaustive and boring hahahahah.

 

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
All these shows are from Brazil, so probably many people from other countries don’t know Fudencio e Seus Amigos season 6 – MTV Brazil (2009  Popota – pilot (2010) Gui e Estopa season 3 (2011-2012)

 

Where are you from and how did you get into the animation business?

What is your name and your current occupation?
David Trexler. I’m the Supervising Producer at Soup2Nuts Animation.

What are some of the crazier jobs you had before getting into animation?
I’ve had a good amount of jobs – installing custom kitchens, waiter (for 3 days), summer rec counselor and above ground pool installer, to name a few – but the crazier one would have to be drilling bowling balls for a sporting good store in Philadelphia. Maybe “odd” is more appropriate than “crazier”, but that’s the one that sticks out. The job where you think – what the hell am I doing? I was attending art school at the time and the hours were flexible. I got paid per ball. I also got to etch in peoples initials.

What are some of your favorite projects you’re proud to have been a part of?
I’m proud of many of the projects I have worked on, all for different reasons. Daria at MTV Animation was a blast to work on. That’s where I learned the business. The show was more of an underground hit with a cult following  (as opposed to their huge hit Beavis and Butthead, the series it was spun off of). Fans have been requesting to have a DVD set released since it went of the air and it finally was late last year. We had an amazingly talented team on that show and I still keep in touch with many of them.

How did you become interested in animation?
